The installation Orientation I consists of video, sound and sculptural form, that together articulate three ontological conditions: an internal system that repeats itself, a human figure under formation attempting orientation while withdrawing from external perceptibility, and a continuous external signal that persists independently. These elements position the human condition as something constituted within operations that exceed perception, embodied experience and action.

The looped video is derived from open-source archival material, edited and presented in such way that creates a repeated visual field that corresponds to a living organism’s internal system.

The sound, a continuous signal, results from the sonification of solar data.
