Transitional Bodies

Transitional Bodies is an installation that unfolds as a ritual environment.

A place where symbols and matter serve as
instruments for the fulfillment of a higher spiritual purpose; transition and elevation.

The arrangement of organic materials composes a ceremonial landscape inspired by ancient sites of worship, designed for ecstasy. In relation to worship, the landscape is not merely a backdrop but a living, sentient organism, bearing the qualities of decay, purification, and rebirth.
The flesh-textured masks serve both as a surrogate for the human physical form, and as sacred objects. They disguise, concealing identity while at the same time opening portals to a collective spiritual experience of union with divine energy. Flesh refers not only to the biological body but to the body as a surface of experience that holds memories and desires. It becomes the vessel of sacred action, a tool of transcendence, and a connective link between communion, spirituality and landscape.
The installation envisions flesh and earth as two parallel surfaces in resonance, carrying traces of transformation.
